AREAS OF CONSULTING

Commissioning Process Consulting

(Retro) Commissioning is a process that seeks to improve how building equipment and systems function together. Depending on the age of the building, retro-commissioning can often resolve problems that occurred during design or construction, or address problems that have developed throughout the building's life. In all, retro-commissioning improves a building's operations and maintenance (O&M) procedures to enhance overall building performance. (Defined by the US Government)

Maintenance Management Consulting

What is Maintenance Management and how does it effect you? Does your staff have the skills to perform their jobs in a way that exceeds the norm?  Are your environmental conditions, heat,  A/C and building integrity, comfortable and consistent?  Do you have issues with a facility or system that has never seemed to operate properly? Do you get your money’s worth out of suppliers, contractors and staff?

Facility Management Consulting

Management Support – If one of your facility management positions is vacant, I can provide support. If maintenance management isn't your business, you may want assistance in the hiring process to gain the right candidate for your facility. I can also support with temporary management during that time.

By reviewing staffing, budgets, spending and the utilization/condition of your facilities, I can give you a clearer understanding of the true condition you are in. You may need to add, delete or modify programs or procedures you are currently working with. How do you know you have the right training, programs, procedures, contractors or staff to accomplish what is needed at your site?

Construction Management Consulting

Typically, you use an engineering firm to design your project, produce a bid packet for contractors to quote, conduct a bid/project walk-thru and then compile all the data.  Hopefully from this, you will be able to determine how to move forward with what fits the needs of your company.  What I do during a process like this, is prepare you for the impact a project has on your site and staff, and help you manage through it.  I ran the facility and construction management during projects with School Systems, Nursing Homes/Retirement Communities, Mega Churches, Process/Manufacturing plants and multi-floor office buildings.  I have been there and have the experience and knowledge to support you during your construction process.  There may be opportunities to utilize my services with Temporary Construction Management or Consulting.

Customer Rep

A customer rep, hired by the customer, is the point person between the contractors and the key decision makers for the customer. The coordination of tasks, as they relate to a project, is one of the main reasons the customer rep is on site. Coordination of resources to successfully complete the project, both on time and on budget, along with maintaining clear communications between all parties involved is the responsibility of the Customer Rep. If you require more technical support, you will want to hire a rep with the knowledge of your industry.
